Multiple places to relax with comfortable furniture and hammocks. Pool and oceanside views. Friendly and helpful staff. Sustainable practices, such as a biodigester. Beautiful grounds and amazing location surrounded by nature. Easy access to the village and water taxi. Lovely pool area, bar, and menu. Very good breakfast options. Comfortable beds and good night's sleep.

Felt like visiting family, no complaints at all.

We stayed at a perfect location that was very quiet, yet within walking distance of the town. the lodge had beautiful gardens and a refreshing pool. the rooms were nice and clean, although the bathroom could use some updating. the location itself was amazing, with a variety of animals to see, including iguanas and birds. the staff were friendly and the guides were knowledgeable. the lodge offered plenty of activities to keep us entertained. the decoration of the lodge and cabins added to the overall charm. Despite the thin walls, we had no trouble sleeping.

We got great value for our money at Mawamba Lodge. The rooms may be basic, but they were clean and spacious. The location was beautiful, with calm and peaceful surroundings. The staff treated us kindly and were always helpful and informative.

The food for breakfast could be improved.

The location was perfect as it was walking distance to the beach, river, and town. The hotel grounds and common areas were spacious and well-maintained. The breakfast provided was fresh and delicious. The staff members, particularly Jorge, Daniel, and Andy, were superb and provided excellent service. The property offered a free nature tour which was a great experience. The rooms, although basic and rustic, were comfortable and clean, with comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, and screens on the windows to keep bugs out. the hotel provided a true jungle experience with its beautiful surroundings and wildlife.

The beauty of the grounds, the stunning facilities, and the abundance of wildlife were all wonderful surprises in this remote location. We were able to see many animals and birds right within the lodge premises, which was a truly amazing experience. Our suite was beyond amazing, and the spacious washroom even had a convenient area for drying our clothes. the sounds of birds singing outside our windows and the distant sea and river added to the tranquil atmosphere. Being within walking distance of Tortuguero was a huge bonus, and we highly recommend visiting the unique Katonga floating restaurant for an unforgettable dining experience. the exceptional communication and prompt responses to all our questions were greatly appreciated.

The hotel facilities were well-maintained and provided plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy nature. The breakfast offered fresh and delicious options each morning.

I had the most amazing time at the eco lodge nestled in the jungle between the river and the sea. The beautiful gardens were a treat to explore and the effort put into the decor and eco-friendly design was truly impressive. The staff, especially Jorge, Manuel, and Laura. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend trying out their tours to truly experience the area. The pool area was also a great place to relax and the pool staff was attentive. I had a fantastic stay and would recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a unique and eco-friendly experience.

The individual lodges were a bit noisy and lacked privacy. In addition, the lack of air conditioning could be uncomfortable at times.

The location of this place is mind-blowing! With the beach on one side and the river on the other, it's jaw-droppingly beautiful. Plus, you can easily walk into town. The spacious and well-kept grounds and common areas are super inviting. The fresh and satisfying breakfast is a great way to start the day. And the best part? The free wi-fi, shuttle service, laundry, hiking, fishing.

The rooms were basic and could use more lighting. It would have been more convenient if we could charge the excursions to our room instead of having to pay in cash on site.

Rustic interiors, great staff, missed opportunities for improvement, no umbrellas or torches in rooms, no communal board games or food service on floating areas, no info boards or leaflets. Considered best in town, but may not remain so without listening to feedback.

Everything was well organized, from the coach transport to the delicious meals and the informative tours. Our tour guide, Ana Maria, was not only knowledgeable and qualified but also a lovely woman. We saw a lot of animals during our 3-day stay and truly enjoyed the pura vida vibes. the lodge itself was charming and comfortable, providing us with everything we needed. the jungle atmosphere and beautiful view of the river made us feel like we were on an African safari. We especially loved the various spots around the hotel to relax and enjoy nature.

We highly recommend this lodge and all the tours they offer for an unforgettable experience in this beautiful area.
