As youngsters, we absolutely loved the view from our bedroom in the morning, overlooking the breathtaking pine trees and mountains. The peaceful sounds of the forest added to the overall relaxing atmosphere. The hotel's old charm and ideal location for exploring the mountain area were also big pluses. Breakfast on the veranda, enjoying the cool mountain air and sun, was a special treat. We would love to stay here again.

The highlight of our stay at New Helvetia Hotel was the stunning location surrounded by a lush pine forest. It truly felt like a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We also loved the hotel's unique soul, which managed to strike the perfect balance between classic charm and modern amenities. Our two-story room with a lovely balcony provided the perfect space to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The lobby, with its antique furniture and cozy fireplace, was a relaxing spot to spend our evenings.

There were a few drawbacks to our stay. The small hairdryers provided in the room were not suitable for my long hair, so I would recommend bringing your own.

The location of the hotel is perfect, nestled in the beautiful forests of the Troodos mountains. It is an ideal base for exploring the breathtaking Kaledonia waterfalls and the scenic outskirts of Platres. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms, though in need of renovation, are functional. The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay. The breakfast offers a good selection of fresh food. The hotel's charming interior and warm atmosphere create a cozy and inviting ambiance.

One downside is that the wifi can be weak in certain areas of the hotel.

The service provided by the staff is top-notch, making you feel welcome and attended to from the moment you arrive. You can also enjoy a delicious breakfast each morning, featuring fresh and well-prepared food.

our recent stay in platres exceeded our expectations. new helvetia was a delightful surprise, from the friendly personnel to the breathtaking views. the location was perfect for exploring the troodos mountains, and the breakfast on the veranda was a special touch. we can't wait to go back.
