We had a wonderful stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The location was exactly what we wanted - close to Calais and the ferry. The hotel is set in a quiet and rural area, just off the autoroute. It provided the perfect retreat after a long drive through appalling weather. The grounds were beautiful and we particularly loved the chickens roaming freely about. The restaurant served quality French cuisine and the wine list was very comprehensive. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we felt very welcome here.

The staff were clearly untrained to the level required at a hotel with a claim of being a 4-star establishment. They were thin on the ground and not very helpful.

We recently stayed at Chateau De Cocove for one night on our way back from the German Grand Prix. The stunning stone building and beautiful surroundings made for a memorable stay. The staff were wonderful, welcoming us even though we arrived late at night. The evening meal at the hotel's restaurant was excellent, and breakfast the next morning was superb. The location is also very convenient, being close to the ferry. We are already planning to return for a short weekend getaway soon.

The room I was given was quite cramped and lacked adequate storage space. the bathroom could have been cleaner and the shower was not functional.

The rooms, though small, had ensuite bathrooms with lovely complimentary toiletries. The hotel's location was ideal for our drive from Folkestone and our ongoing journey the next morning. The interior of the main building was stunning, with old features well preserved and enhanced by clever upgrades. The dinner menu was of excellent quality with elegant touches, and the service was impeccable.

The beds in the room were incredibly comfortable, guaranteeing a good night's sleep. And let's not forget the wonderful breakfast, with the best scrambled eggs I've ever tasted and a wide variety of continental options. We have stayed at the chateau just about every year for the last decade, and we've seen a continual improvement year after year. The dampness is gone, the room facilities have been upgraded, and even the grounds have undergone a makeover. The location is very convenient, only 15/20 minutes away from the port and wine warehouses. We highly recommend Chateau De Cocove for its fantastic meals and helpful staff. It's a thoroughly recommended place to stay.
