The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower provided a refreshing start to the day. The hotel also had a fantastic restaurant that served delicious food and an impressive selection of wine.

I recently stayed at Mercure in Cherbourg for a few nights and I was very impressed. The room was spacious, spotless, and had a stunning view of the harbor and town. The hotel's location right on the harbor side was perfect, as it was next to a shopping center and within walking distance of restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful and the secure car park was a great bonus. Additionally, as someone with coeliac disease, I appreciated the excellent provision of gluten-free items at breakfast.

The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good - nice and fresh. The view out of the window over the water was lovely, and it was a very short walk over the bridge to the shops and restaurants in town. Also very short walk to the train station. The only issue is that the toilet was in a different room to the sink, which was a bit of a pain, but overall, the good/excellent far outweighed this tiny negative. The hotel is brand new, with secure parking and just 10 mins walk to the old town. The room was extremely comfortable, and the location was great. I highly recommend this hotel for its modern spacious rooms and friendly staff. Overall I would stay here again.
