Staying in this authentic medieval castle is genuinely enchanting. The views from my room overlooking the river Diemel were breathtaking, and exploring the tower and the dungeon offered a unique historical experience that transported me to another era. The staff's friendliness made the whole stay even more enjoyable, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

While the climb to the hotel can be a challenge with luggage, the experience is worth it.

the steep stairs were tough with luggage 😅 but the charming furnishings transported me to the middle ages, the romantic dining areas created a lovely atmosphere for dinner 🍽️, and the incredible cuisine blew me away!

Unfortunately, I faced a few challenges during my stay. First, navigating to the hotel was quite tricky, as the Google Maps directions were not accurate. Once I arrived, the Castle room I booked was uncomfortably warm, and even opening the windows invited mosquitoes inside. A simple addition like window nets or a standing fan could have made a huge difference. It’s unfortunate, as I was really looking forward to the experience, but I only booked one night due to these issues.

Jeez, what an awesome spot! The vibe here is unreal, like you’re living in a fairytale. Walking up Rapunzel's tower was a highlight, and the brekkie was lekker with heaps of choices. Staff were super friendly and really made us feel welcome. We booked dinner on the terrace—views and food were top-notch!

Just a heads up, the drive to get here is a proper mission, so plan a nice road trip, boet.

Had an amazing time with friends! The views from the terrace were incredible. Exploring the Torture Museum and the Fear Hole in the tower was wild. Don't miss out on the delicious meals, too. Service was great, just make sure to bring your luggage up the stairs.

The only downside was the wifi reception. It was pretty limited, which made it hard to connect at times. Just a little frustrating during our stay.

Staying in a castle was a dream come true for our family! Our teens loved exploring the tower, especially the intriguing Fear Hole. The stunning views from the breakfast area and the delicious meals really made the experience unforgettable.

Despite this, the unique atmosphere and remarkable culinary experiences made our visit truly memorable.
