I had a fantastic stay at The Island Hotel in Gouves. The room was well equipped and the comfortable beds were kept immaculately clean. The free safe and mini fridge were convenient extras. The hotel's adult-only concept created a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a peaceful vacation. I never had to fight for a sunbed, and the nearby George's restaurant served delicious traditional Cretan dishes. The on-site shop was a pleasant surprise, offering reasonably priced items. I highly recommend this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

The hotel's location is perfect for those who enjoy being near the beach. Guests can easily access the beautiful beach just across the road from the hotel. there are a variety of restaurants in the surrounding area, providing plenty of dining options.

One downside mentioned in a review is that the stone restaurant in the hotel was not up to par.

This hotel is an oasis of luxury amenities. Rooms are beautifully equipped with exclusive facilities, including a private terrace or balcony. the spa centre offers a range of treatments, from massages to body wraps. the outdoor swimming pool has an infinity pool, sun terrace, and sun loungers. the restaurant serves a delicious buffet breakfast and dinner with fantastic food options.

The hotel's reception could improve their communication with guests. When our air conditioning was not working, we had to wait a while before the issue was sorted out.

Great Christmas decorations in the lobby and restaurant, and a good selection of food at breakfast. the hotel is located near a lovely beach with free beds, which was perfect for a swim. the hotel also has a nice pool area and the rooms are modern and clean.

The hotel staff were not very friendly or helpful, and did not seem interested in making our stay enjoyable. the location of the hotel is quite far from the nearest town or amenities, so it was inconvenient to go out and explore.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. the check-in process was quick and the receptionist was very helpful and informative. the hotel had lots of different pools and areas to hide away for peace and quiet. We loved being right on the sandy beach. Our room was clean, airy, and beautifully decorated. the food and drinks were absolutely amazing, with a large variety of options for breakfast and dinner. We also enjoyed the stunning view of the sea and sunset at the Tholos bar. We would definitely recommend Island Hotel - Adults Only - to our friends and would love to return.

Had a fantastic Christmas stay at this hotel! Loved the variety of food options, especially the Greek and Cretan dishes. The location was perfect, with a beautiful private beach and easy access to nearby attractions like Heraklion and Knossos. The staff were friendly and professional, making our holiday truly enjoyable.

Despite the overall great experience, there were a few minor drawbacks. The smoking policy needs improvement, as we often had to move to avoid cigarette smoke.
