During my stay at the hotel, I had the pleasure of experiencing the breathtaking views of the icebergs from my room. It was truly an unforgettable sight. The room itself was spotless and beautifully decorated with interesting artwork, adding a unique touch to the ambiance. The breakfast served at the hotel was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. Additionally, the hotel was conveniently located within a short walking distance to the main part of town, making it easy for me to explore and enjoy all that Ilulissat has to offer. I had a wonderful time at Hotel Soma Ilulissat and would highly recommend it to others.

As a backpacker, I loved the free pick-up from the boat and drop-off at the airport, making it convenient for me to explore the area. The self-catering facilities in the room were a bonus, and the breakfast selection was tasty. The owner and staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, making my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The advice on the best hike to see the ice field was spot on. The hotel was modern, clean, and welcoming.

During my Christmas stay at this hotel, I was really pleased with the comfortable and modern Scandinavian interior of the room. the bed was cozy and the shower was excellent. Additionally, I enjoyed the fact that the hotel provided a small but adequate kitchenette in the room, which allowed for some simple self-catering and helped me keep the costs down. the location of the hotel was also convenient, being located near the coast and just a short walk away from the town center.

One negative aspect was the paid WiFi, as I would have preferred if it was complimentary. Another small inconvenience was the lack of courtesy at the airport to pick up bags from the ladies.

My stay at the Avannaa Hotel was fantastic. The room was clean and spacious, with a functional kitchenette that allowed us to prepare our own meals. The bathroom had a unique Scandinavian "room shower" setup that was convenient and well-designed. The best part of our room was the stunning view of Disko Bay - we could even see icebergs from bed and the shower! The hotel staff were helpful and the service was good. We were also impressed with the free airport transfer provided at the end of our stay. Although the hotel is located a bit outside of town, the 15-minute walk to downtown was pleasant and the quiet location was a plus.

One drawback was that some rooms facing the back had a less appealing view, like a large rock and a storage shed. Another minor inconvenience was the lack of blackout blinds, which made it a bit difficult to sleep during the 24 hours of daylight in the summer.
