My stay at Del Lago was absolutely amazing. From the moment I arrived, the volunteers were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They made me feel like part of the group and even invited me on days out. The yoga deck on site was a truly wonderful place to practice yoga, with classes available throughout the day. The free breakfast options were delicious and the view from the café where it was served was unbeatable. The dorm room was clean and comfortable, and with ear plugs, I had no trouble sleeping. The café/bar and rooftop terrace were fantastic places to hang out, and the food was both delicious and reasonably priced. The dock at the bottom of the hostel was perfect for enjoying the sun and the lake, and swimming in the lake was a delight. Plus, the trivia night on Thursdays was super fun. Thank you to Del Lago for the perfect stay!

We had a fantastic stay at Del Lago. Lindsey, the yoga teacher, was incredible - knowledgeable, friendly, and offered amazing cues for a strength-based practice with breath and Bandhas. The room was comfortable and well-priced, with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff, although not overly friendly, were helpful and the breakfast was very good. The location was perfect, right on the lake and close to restaurants and bars. The manager, Stephanie, was particularly helpful in providing detailed directions for local transport to the Chichicastenango market and informing us about local events. Thank you, team Del Lago!

The location of the hotel is excellent, as it is right on the lake with a lovely deck overlooking the water. the hotel offers regular classes such as Yoga in a studio perched above the lake, providing a tranquil and scenic environment. The included breakfasts offered a variety of options and were enjoyable.

Some of the shared facilities, particularly the showers and toilets, were reported to be dirty and unpleasant.

The yoga platform and lake shore deck at Del Lago were absolutely stunning. I enjoyed practicing yoga and soaking in the beautiful views of the lake. The cafe area provided a relaxing space to unwind and the menu had a good variety of options. Oh, and the brownies were delicious!

That I couldn't find any mirrors in the hostel. It would have been helpful to have them available.

I had an absolutely amazing time at this hotel! The private room was spacious and comfortable, and I loved the fact that I had access to the beautiful lake and a LOVELY swimming spot. The restaurant had jaw-dropping views and the staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. They even went above and beyond to sort out a problem with my payment data. And let me tell you, the hot water showers were a super pleasant surprise! the staff, the food, the lake access, and the spacious room made my stay here mind-blowingly fantastic.

We had a fantastic stay at a hotel on the water with a dock. The yoga class overlooking the lake was absolutely beautiful, and we enjoyed spending time on the rooftop terrace. The included breakfasts were excellent and delicious. The volunteers were friendly and helpful, making our experience even better. we wished we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the cozy dorm room with its privacy curtain. A big thumbs up to Del Lago!

I recently had a great stay at a beautiful hotel located right on the lake. The staff at Del Lago were really nice and made me feel at home. I loved the peaceful and scenic surroundings, perfect for yoga enthusiasts like myself. The breakfast served at the hotel was really delicious as well. The location was convenient, not too far from the central area but still away from the hustle and bustle. my experience at Del Lago was wonderful and I would definitely consider staying there again.

We had an incredible time at the hostel right on the lake. The dock was the perfect spot to relax during the day and watch Fuego's distant eruptions at night. We loved the chilled vibe at the cafe and the opportunity to meet other guests and chat with the friendly staff. The room was simple, but it was comfortable and reasonably priced. The yoga space was amazing, and there were plenty of classes available at affordable prices. The restaurant had delicious food, and we enjoyed hanging out by the lake. The showers were hot, and there was enough space to change, which was a rare find. we had a fantastic experience and enjoyed the beautiful location and friendly atmosphere.
