My stay at this hotel was fantastic! The full kitchen in my room had everything I needed and the shower was amazing. The staff were super friendly and helped me plan my day trips, just like they did for another guest. The landscapes surrounding the hotel were absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this hidden gem!

We had a fantastic time at this hotel by the river, with stunning views up to Glymur waterfall. The location was perfect for exploring the area and we loved visiting the wonderful bakery nearby in the morning. Our room was bright, clean, and spacious, with a well-functioning kitchenette. The service was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was plentiful. We couldn't ask for a better view to wake up to each morning.

The wifi in the room was only wired, making it difficult to use our mobile devices.

Laxarbakki exceeded our expectations with its clean and comfortable rooms for 3. the addition of a full kitchen and washer in the unit made our stay incredibly convenient. We especially appreciated being able to park our car right outside of our room. the family who runs the hotel is very nice and welcoming. the rooms themselves felt like studio apartments, with a fully-functional kitchen and dining space. the location of the hotel was also ideal, remote enough to escape light pollution but still right on the Ring Road.

Everything is exactly what we needed and wanted! 🌟

This hotel is nestled between two quaint villages and boasts a beautiful view of the mountains and a nearby river. The main area is pleasant, albeit it curfewed at 10 pm. Some rooms feature comfortable beds, private bathrooms, and stunning views. Additionally, guests have access to a steam room and hot tub.

Some guests reported unclean and poorly maintained shared facilities such as corridors and showers, and inadequate instructions for the use of amenities, including the steam room.

This hotel by the river is a great value for money option with stunning views of the surrounding countryside from our apartment with large windows. The full kitchen was a nice touch and breakfast was included, which was very convenient.

The scenery was breathtaking and the city was lively for New Year's Eve celebrations. the views from the top of the hill were amazing. the complimentary breakfast was decent and hot beverages throughout the day was a nice addition. the outdoor hot tubs were perfect after spending time outside in the cold weather.

The room was extremely cramped and lacked proper ventilation, making it hard to breathe. the cleanliness of the room was questionable with dirty linens and an overall bad odor.

The hosts were great. Breakfast and dinner spot on. Ideal location for exploring the Golden Circle or Ring Road. Close to hot pools. Comfortable rooms and beds. Hotel facilities include hot tub and sauna. Very friendly hosts/owners/personnel.

Good value for money compared to other accommodations in Iceland.
