The Garage in Varmahlid was an excellent choice for our budget stay. The apartment was fully equipped and spacious, perfect for accommodating our group of four. We enjoyed the nice location, with a stunning view of the mountains and the possibility of seeing the northern lights on clear evenings. The hosts were always thoughtful and made our stay even more enjoyable with their little gestures, such as leaving us apple cake and fresh flowers. The daily cleaning service was a nice touch, and the hosts frequently checked in to ensure we were having a great time. And of course, we can't forget to mention their sweet dog who was always ready for a game of fetch!

We felt very much at home at The Garage and had no complaints whatsoever.

The Easter weekend at this hotel was an incredible experience. the location was absolutely stunning, nestled between a breathtaking waterfall and the serene sea, creating a picturesque backdrop. the design and craftsmanship of the hotel were beautiful and added to the charm of the place. Additionally, the host went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, providing delicious treats like chocolate cake and rhubarb apple bread with whipped cream. the host also assisted us with a minor medical issue, making international phone calls and setting up an appointment for us, which was a true lifesaver.

Honestly, there was nothing to dislike about this hotel. From the beautiful surroundings to the comfortable accommodations, everything exceeded our expectations.

The Garage Varmahlid is a charming farmstay, owned by a lovely family for generations. Situated straight on the mountain, it offers breathtaking views in all directions. The rooms are spacious, bright and clean, equipped with all necessary amenities. Guests can enjoy a hot bathtub under the sky. The location is also convenient for ferry access to Vestmannaeyjar.

Some guests can be inconsiderate and disturb the peaceful atmosphere, requiring intervention from other guests or staff.

I had an amazing stay at The Garage! The room was cozy and spacious with beautiful design furniture. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and had plenty of space. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and even greeted us with freshly baked cookies. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, including basic ingredients. The location was perfect, with stunning views of the ocean and close to attractions like Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss. I highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay in South Iceland.

The position of this place is wonderful, with a small waterfall behind and gorgeous views. the property next door has Icelandic horses, which was a unique and interesting sight. the rooms are modern, clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary appliances. the fresh cake made by the owner was a delightful treat. the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable.

Although there were some nearby restaurants, it would have been nice to have a few more options available. However, the remote location adds to the charm and peacefulness of the place.

I recently stayed at The Garage for a few nights and had an amazing experience. The location is perfect, situated between Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls. The rooms have breathtaking views of the ocean and a beautiful waterfall just behind. The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely shower and hot tub under the stars. The owners, Anna and Siggi, were incredibly accommodating and helpful. I especially enjoyed playing with their friendly dog. a perfect stay and I highly recommend this hotel.
