the location on the banks of the Ganges was perfect, especially during the Diwali celebration. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the views of the Ganges from my room were lovely. the hotel service was great, and they even contacted us before our arrival to ensure a smooth check-in. the room was clean and modern, and the in-house cook prepared delicious meals. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The room was very comfortable and spacious, with a lovely view. The location was great, right by the river and close to all the main attractions. The staff were friendly and always willing to help.

The food was inconsistent, sometimes delicious and other times inedible. The hotel did not offer much assistance with arranging boat tours or providing local guidance.

I had a wonderful stay at a guest house right on the Ganges. the location was perfect, with a beautiful view of the river from the terrace. the staff was incredibly helpful, from organizing airport pick-up to arranging a guide for the city. the room was spacious and comfortable, and the cook prepared delicious meals for us. Despite the cold weather, they provided a heater to keep us warm. the welcome we received, even with a 4am arrival, was exceptional. I highly recommend a stay at this guest house.

We had a fantastic stay at the guest house. the location was perfect, right by the ghat, and we enjoyed the breathtaking river view from our room. the whole house had a historic charm and the staff and owner were incredibly helpful. They arranged a pick-up and drop-off at the train station for us, and even though we arrived early, they provided us with a place to rest and enjoy breakfast until our room was ready. Mr Gopal, the cook, prepared delicious meals for us, and the bed was comfortable. We felt at home and would definitely recommend Shiva Ganges View Guest House for a memorable stay in Varanasi.

We loved the outstanding staff who had a take-care attitude. The guided tours by Ranjit were amazing, giving us a great insight into Varanasi. The location by the Ganges river was perfect, with excellent views. The hotel provided delicious and fresh food, and the rooftop was a great place to relax.

The decoration of the guesthouse was charming and had a traditional Indian touch. I loved the colorful tapestries and artwork that adorned the walls. The sitting areas were cozy and provided a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy the view of the Ganges. As a senior woman, I greatly appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. Despite being located in an older part of the city, the staff was always there to assist with luggage and make sure I felt safe and comfortable during my stay.

It would have been even better if there were handrails or extra support in the bathrooms to assist senior guests.

During my Christmas stay, I really enjoyed the clean and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The location was also a major plus, as it was conveniently situated near all the major attractions and within walking distance to everything. the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, providing us with excellent service throughout our stay.

The menu primarily consisted of vegetarian dishes, and there were limited options for those who preferred non-vegetarian meals. the Wi-Fi connection was quite weak and unreliable, making it difficult to stay connected during our stay.

The value for my money was great and the room was spacious and clean. The location by the Ghat entrance was excellent and the staff treated me with kindness and assistance throughout my stay.

The location right on the Ganges and the warm and welcoming hosts make this guest house a must-do for anyone visiting Varanasi. The views from the rooftop are breathtaking, and enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal while taking in the vibrant atmosphere of Varanasi is a truly unique experience. The hot water and comfy bed were pleasant surprises, and the local tour guide recommended by the guest house, Ranjit, was exceptional. a fantastic stay!

I had a memorable stay at a guest house in a great location close to a central ghat. I enjoyed the spacious and well-maintained rooms with reliable hot water. The top balcony provided a relaxing spot to view the Ganges, when not being interrupted by monkeys or construction noises. The food was delicious and could be delivered to the room or balcony. The owner was welcoming and the staff was helpful and gentle. I highly recommend taking a boat ride and visiting nearby Sarnah with the assistance of their local guide. I had a great experience.

Although the room itself was nice, the bathroom with the toilet was poorly designed with no way to prevent water from going everywhere. The room was not well isolated from outside heat and breeze, making it dusty and not very clean.

We loved the warm welcome and assistance from the staff and owners. The location at the Ghat entrance was excellent with beautiful views of the Ganges. The food was delicious and the beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Varanasi.
