The cozy rooms had great lighting and a lovely office nook. Being minutes from attractions was a plus. Those bar vault dinners? Delicious! I enjoyed the traditional entertainment each evening – truly charming!

Oh, and my window might as well have come with a parachute – it refused to stay shut! Plus, the wardrobe was like a glorious hatbox – stylish yet quite the storage tease!

the mattress in my room was like sleeping on a rock, very painful. incredibleyyy noisy at night, too. somehow, I expected a welcome gift for my troubles, but none was offered. this place could truly earn a good review, but I just couldn’t with these major flaws ruining every moment of my stay.

The location is a stone's throw from public transport, making navigating the city a breeze. The room was spacious, featuring two ensuites – a convenient touch for families. Enjoying live music every night at the Vault Restaurant added to the vibrant atmosphere, complemented by delicious, high-quality meals. However, the breakfast area felt overly crowded, which affected the dining experience, and parking spaces were limited.

I was upgraded to a better room for the second night, finally a match for those glossy photos! Pricing felt on point too, which was a relief. The historical architecture added a lovely character to the place.

My shower was the prima donna of the experience – took ages to warm up, and I had to wrestle with the hand-held piece! The draughty windows were practically auditioning for a horror film – so much noise!

I had a fantastic stay, especially enjoying the four-course meal deal on the last night and the awesome breakfast selection with fresh pastries. just be careful of the slippery bathroom floor!
