We had a fantastic stay right in the city centre, just a stone's throw away from the magnificent Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. The location couldn't have been more perfect, putting us right in the heart of the city and next to the beautiful church. The hotel was clean and comfortable, offering great facilities such as tea and coffee making facilities in the room, air-conditioning, and a shared kitchen with a fridge. We also appreciated the early check-in and the opportunity to store our bags after check out. The staff were friendly and made our stay seamless.

I had a wonderful stay at Albergo San Giovanni. The location was absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the city center. The charming atmosphere of the old building, with its beautiful paintings, added to the historical ambiance. Despite being an old building, everything was clean and well-maintained. The helpful staff, especially Umberto at the reception, went above and beyond to ensure a smooth stay. He assisted with storing our luggage, printing tickets, and even provided us with valuable recommendations for exploring Florence. The private bathroom in our room was a plus, and the common/shared bathrooms also looked clean. The hotel's proximity to the Duomo and the train station made it convenient for exploring the city and taking day trips. Although the room was relatively small and there was some noise from the street, these were minor inconveniences compared to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend Albergo San Giovanni for its great location, helpful staff, and value for money. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Florence.

The receptionist, Humberto, was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations for gelato and pasta. The facility also had a cozy living room area and a picturesque back patio. a fantastic stay with all the amenities needed for a comfortable trip.
