We had a fantastic stay at a charming hotel in an out of the way area, so more reasonable. The staff were excellent, always ready to assist and even brought us cappuccinos in the morning. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast provided was delicious and we enjoyed it every morning. The location was great, with easy access to everywhere in Rome and in a quirky neighborhood that had lots to offer. It was truly a wonderful experience.

The location of the hotel wasn't very close to the city center, but it was still manageable to walk there without feeling overwhelmed. It was easy to travel to historic landmarks from the hotel, as there were nearby metro stations and tram stops mentioned by the helpful receptionist. The hotel was very close to Termini station, which was convenient for catching a bus or train to the airport when it was time to leave. Right beside the hotel, there was a local grocery store which made it easy to grab any necessities.

We were pleasantly surprised by the character and charm of this hidden gem. The hotel may appear dated from the outside, but the interior is lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. We especially enjoyed the private garden, a perfect spot to relax. Despite the not-so-glamorous location, it was convenient for reaching the main train stations and exploring the city. I highly recommend Villa San Lorenzo Maria for a delightful stay in Rome.

The free wine hour was a nice touch. the breakfast had lots of options, including fresh fruit and pastries. the hotel was close to a tram stop, making it easy to get around the city.

The area surrounding the hotel was dirty and covered in graffiti, which made us feel unsafe walking around at night. the room was cramped, with no space to store our luggage, and the air conditioning was barely functional, leaving us hot and uncomfortable.
