The location was perfect - close enough to Taormina for convenience, but far enough away to avoid the mayhem. Situated on a hill, the views of Mount Etna were absolutely stunning, especially from the balcony. The room itself was adequate, although a bit dated and could use some updating of furnishings. The staff were excellent, with special mention to Adriana who was always cheerful and helpful. The service was top-notch, with room service, car hire, and laundry facilities available. The breakfast selection was excellent, with delicious croissants and a variety of options. a comfortable and relaxing hotel with amazing views.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and the location was ideal.

This place is beautiful and close to Castelmola. It is clean and quaint, with a great view overlooking Etna. The staff are excellent, with particular mention being made of the lovely Adriana – always cheerful and helpful. The hotel offers a range of amenities including a spa & wellness center, swimming pool, sun terrace, and beach access. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped with modern amenities such as a flat-screen TV and electric kettle. The hotel also offers various services such as laundry, luggage storage, and a 24-hour reception.

The view from the hotel was amazing, with stunning vistas of the surrounding mountains and coastline. the sunset was especially beautiful. the hotel also had a pool which was a great spot to relax and cool off. the location of the hotel was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities.

The food at the hotel was overpriced and not very impressive. the quality was not up to par for the price.

I stayed at Hotel Villa Sonia for 3 nights and it was a wonderful experience. The breakfast served on the terrace with a view of Mt Etna was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering assistance when my partner fell ill. The location, perched above Taormina and below Castelmola, provided stunning views. Our room was comfortable with a delightful terrace and amazing views. The pool deck and bar were great extras.

I had a fantastic stay with some of the best views of Etna on the whole Island. The hotel is located on Taormina's coast and up enough on the hill to be quiet and far from the city's agitation. It is also close to the beautiful town of Castelmola, where you can find plenty of restaurants and a few bars. The hotel facilities, especially the swimming pool, were excellent and provided stunning views of Etna. The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing great service throughout my stay. Additionally, the breakfast offered a variety of choices, including pastries, meats, cheeses, and made-to-order eggs.

Hotel Villa Sonia offers a relaxing and beautiful atmosphere with spotlessly clean surroundings. The pool area provides stunning views and is perfect for relaxation. The breakfast offers a wide choice and the staff are lovely and friendly. The location is convenient, allowing a 25-minute walk to Taormina. The room with a beautiful balcony and view was a bonus.

Everything was spot on.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel with amazing views, especially from our balcony facing Mt. Etna. The hotel provided a shuttle bus to the nearby town and there was also a bus stop right in front of the hotel, making transportation very convenient. We enjoyed exploring the charming village of Castelmola, which was just a short walk away. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the hotel had great facilities, including a beautiful pool area. The breakfast offered a variety of delicious options, including hot food. We also had the pleasure of hearing the owner playing his guitar during the set menu dinner, adding a special touch to our experience.

The pool closes too early to enjoy the sunset from the loungers. the old-fashioned key activated electricity was inconvenient for charging phones.

We also enjoyed exploring the nearby small local restaurants, which offered a great selection of delicious food.
