I couldn’t get enough of the organic pulled pork at the nearby restaurant in Castelmola. an absolute flavor explosion! Plus, the views from my room of Mount Etna were simply mesmerizing, and the quirky decor throughout the hotel added a delightful touch to the ambiance.

while the views were stunning, it’s truly shocking that the jacuzzi bath wasn’t working, and the television was a state of disrepair that I had to fix myself. how on earth does this place get away with such old facilities? I totally expected a welcome gift or upgrade for all the inconvenience, but I guess that’s too much to hope for.

the reception staff were incredibly professional and handled my requests efficiently. the noise from high heels in the corridors was quite disturbing at times.

the view from the balcony at villa sonia is absolutly stunning, perfect for chillin with some drinks. the staff are super friendly and willing to help with gluten free options which is amazing! the terrace where breakfast is served is just gorgeous, love watching the sunrise. also, the hotel has a nice shuttle service to taormina which is super convenient. plus, the antique decor adds a unique vibe to the whole place.

but the wifi connection was pretty weak in some areas and the dinner menu could use some better options, tasted kinda bland.

Enjoyed relaxing by the pool with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and even tried a soothing massage that left me feeling refreshed. The lovely breakfast area had fresh croissants and local fruits, making mornings a delight. Just a heads up, sometimes the room cleaning was a bit late in the afternoon, but overall, it didn’t spoil my experience. 😊

the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making you feel right at home. the pool area closes too early at 6:30 p.m., which may be disappoiting after a day out.
