Celebrating a birthday and they upgraded our room at no cost, the room was gorgeous and very large, with a very comfy bed. Excellent choices of food from all around the world for breakfast. Plush and extravagant feel throughout the hotel. Professional but personable staff. Well-appointed breakfast room with plenty of seating. Very clean rooms with comfortable beds. Nice bar in the lobby with great selections of wine and cocktails. Wonderful location close to center and train station.

Don't listen to complaints about no kettle in the rooms, just bring your own or visit local cafes for coffee and tea. a great experience!

royal hotel carlton in bologna exceeded my expectations. the dog-friendly atmosphere was amazing - my furry friend could join me for breakfast and at the bar. the hotel had a grand, titanic-like ambiance, and the staff were friendly and attentive. great location near the main square and plenty of restaurants nearby.

Breakfast lacked variety, especially for longer stays.

The hotel was conveniently located, being very near the railway station but close to the center. The room was spacious and comfortable, with nice linens and attentive housekeeping staff. The breakfast was great, offering a variety of options. Additionally, the bar had good service and served excellent coffee.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Bologna. The location was super close to the center, allowing us to easily walk to all the attractions and the railway station. It was also a bit off the main noisy street, but just a few minutes walking distance from the center. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and everything was kept very clean. The hotel facilities were amazing, especially the spa bath in our upgraded room. The breakfast was delicious, and we particularly loved the quiche. The staff were lovely, always kind and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Key location facts: The hotel was centrally located, making it easy to explore the old town of Bologna. The room was clean and spacious, with a huge bed that was perfect for a romantic escape.

One disappointing aspect was the empty and non-working fountain at the entrance, which did not give off a great impression for a 4-star hotel. Additionally, there was no chair or table on our balcony, which would have been nice to have for enjoying the view.
