Had a great stay at Comfort Hotel in Yamagata. The location was superb, just a 5-minute walk from the train station. The room was clean and the breakfast was decent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Despite a few minor issues with the air conditioning and staff attitude, overall I would recommend this hotel for its value and convenience.

The location of the hotel is perfect, as it is very near to the station. This is extremely convenient for guests, especially for longer term business travelers who need to catch trains or buses frequently. It is also nice to relax in the room after a long day of sightseeing or work. Additionally, there is a convenience store located near the front of the hotel, making it easy to grab a quick bite to eat.

Some of the staff at the hotel can be quite rude, which can be off-putting for guests.

What a great Easter break we had! the hotel was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. the location was perfect - easy to get to and close to everything we wanted to see. the breakfast was tasty and had a good variety of Japanese and western options. the free water and coffee in the lobby was a great convenience too. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a nice deep bathtub. One of the best things was the free internet access in the lobby, which was handy for checking our travel plans.

The bed wasn't very comfortable, but it wasn't a big problem. Overall it was a great stay and we would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable and comfortable option in this city.
