The onsen experience was a standout, offering a refreshing soak under the stars that you won't easily forget. The futon beds were surprisingly comfy, and the communal area provided good amenities like tea and coffee for unwinding after a long day.

A few quirks could be improved, like the outdoor hot spring, which had an extra charge of 500¥ per person and had a motion sensor that switched off too quickly, leaving you in the dark. The rooms could feel a bit chilly at night despite the available heaters, and upon arrival, the limited towel supply might leave some feeling shortchanged, especially for those who need more for longer hair. Also, some could find the shared bathrooms lacking in privacy.

Aye, them private onsens? So dope. Got to chill in the outdoor one while watchin’ the stars. Tetsuya and Lisa was mad helpful, even helped me set up my plans. Yukata was sweet for keepin' cozy. Fuji-Hakone Guest House was an incredible place to stay! I loved my Japanese-style room that had traditional futon mattresses on a tatami-mat floor. The outdoor onsen experience was unforgettable, soaking while gazing at the stars was pure magic. Tetsuya, Lisa, and Lighto were super accommodating, helping me with my plans around Hakone. The location had close access to great food options, and I really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings with nature all around.

The shared bathroom wasn't my favorite, but it was manageable.

Hakone vibes 🌸

The onsen was a lekker treat, especially the outdoor one under the stars! Tetsuya and Lisa were super chill and had awesome tips for nearby hikes. The traditional room was so comfy, I slept like a baby. Kuier vibes all around, felt like family!

Only thing was the shared toilet situation. a bit of a bummer for privacy.

i thought i was headed for a restful stay, but the onsen was ridiculously hot, and good luck getting any attention from the front desk—i swear that bell was broken. also, after all this, no complimentary upgrade or gesture? so disappointed, it’s hard to imagine how they get any good reviews at all.

the limited number of towels was a bit of a hassle. however, the private onsen was such a highlight! ! soaking in the warm water while surrounded by nature was heavenly. tetsuya and lisa were super helpful with planning my activities. breakfast was delicious and gave me a chance to mingle with other guests.
