Our room at Gion Ryokan Q-Beh was spacious and clean, with comfortable traditional floor beds. The location was ideal, within walking distance of all the main attractions. We were pleasantly surprised by the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. we had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back.

Drawbacks: The shower had a frustrating short timer, which was inconvenient when showering our kids. Also, the walls were quite thin, so we could hear noise from the rooms above us.

The location was perfect, within walking distance to many amazing temples and a grocery shop. The common room had a lovely atmosphere with tatamis, providing a calm space for unwinding. The AC worked well, and there were Japanese newspapers and an English version available.
