This hotel on the south coast of the island exceeded our expectations. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with their limited English. They even called around to find us a new adapter and offered to loan us a phone charger when they couldn't find one. The rooms were thoughtfully stocked with amenities for hikers, including shoe-dryers. And the view from the large windows of the mountain meeting the sea was simply breathtaking.

The onsen was a local secret and provided a truly authentic Japanese experience. Despite the language barrier, the host was friendly and made me feel at home. They even let me borrow their car to explore the seashore onsen at night. The rooms were cozy and well-equipped, creating a quiet countryside atmosphere. I couldn't believe the standard of this affordable accommodation. I highly recommend this hotel for a unique and immersive stay.
