Our stay at Kinoe was absolutely wonderful. The traditional Japanese-style room had an authentic charm, and the private bathroom was a bonus. The highlight of our stay was the delicious Japanese food served in our room. The staff went above and beyond to explain each dish and make us feel comfortable. Additionally, the location was perfect for exploring Gion and the surrounding areas. Despite a few minor drawbacks mentioned in other reviews, we had a fantastic experience at Kinoe. I highly recommend this ryokan for a truly Japanese experience.

The location of the hotel couldn't be better - right in the heart of the historic Gion district. It's a fantastic area, close to all the sights and surrounded by traditional Japanese architecture. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with traditional futons on the floor. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing maps and recommendations for nearby attractions. The in-room dining experience was a highlight, with knowledgeable staff explaining each dish in detail. the hotel offered a truly authentic Japanese experience in a very good area.

The price tag for the hotel was quite high compared to other options in the city.

The hotel is conveniently located close to must-see temples, restaurants, and the river area. It is easily accessible by public transportation. The room was spacious and comfortable, with traditional Japanese style. The onsen downstairs was clean and pleasant. The kaiseki breakfast was delicious.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the Gion area. We were able to easily explore all the temples, restaurants, and the famous Gion district within a short walk. The service was exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. We especially appreciated the room service and housekeeping, as well as the in-room breakfast which was delicious and served with care. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with great recommendations for local sushi spots and assisting us with our travel plans. a fantastic experience.

The location of the hotel is great as it is located in the Gion district, which is known for its restaurants and shops. The staff, especially Kohji, provided exceptional service and was very welcoming and helpful. The ryokan experience was fun and the room was clean and spacious. The communal bath was a relaxing way to end the day.

The futons in the room were a bit harder than expected.
