We were lucky to have Tommy as our host during our stay in Koyasan. When most restaurants were closed, he personally took us to an amazing yakitori restaurant. The guesthouse itself had everything we needed and was centrally located. The home-made Japanese breakfast prepared by Tommy's wife was delicious. I highly recommend this guesthouse for a wonderful stay in Koyasan.

We loved the central location of Koyasan Guest House Tommy. It was within walking distance to all the major attractions, including the cemetery. The guest house also has a visitor center next door where you can rent electric bikes, perfect for exploring the area.

The bathroom and toilet facilities were not very private, as they were shared with other guests on the same floor. Although there was a curtain in place, it would have been better to have a door for more privacy.

We stayed in a cozy Japanese-style room with tatami floors and comfy futon mats. The dining room was spacious and could accommodate six people. The water pressure in the shower was great and the temperature was nice and hot. Tommy, a local from Koyasan, gave us excellent restaurant recommendations and helped us with directions to attend the early morning prayers at Okuno-in temple.
