The view from the room is truly spectacular, allowing you to soak in the peacefulness of the surroundings. The newly refurbished room is comfortable and the staff are very helpful. The breakfast is delicious and the relaxing massage chair is a great addition to enhance your stay.

Some facilities close early in the evening, so plan accordingly.

From the minute I was greeted, the hospitality at Masuya Ryokan was truly impressive. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable and peaceful stay. The newly refurbished room was very comfortable and I loved the relaxing massage chair. The view from my room was absolutely breathtaking, making my stay even more memorable. The short walk to Izumo Taisha shrine was incredibly convenient. The food at the ryokan was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the nice little Onsen. Despite the slight inconvenience of the trek from the station with big suitcases, it was manageable. It's worth noting that most places close early in the evenings, so it's advisable to dine in at the hotel. I highly recommend Masuya Ryokan for a relaxing and contemplative getaway.

Nothing to dislike.

The newly refurbished room was very comfortable, with soft linens and fluffy pillows that made me feel right at home. the food was also excellent, with a variety of dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented. I especially enjoyed the traditional Japanese breakfast, which gave me a taste of local cuisine. As an added bonus, the hotel had a nice little Onsen that was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the surrounding area.

The only downside of my experience was the trek to get to the hotel with my big suitcases, but it was still manageable. I found that almost everything shut down after 6pm when the day trippers had left, so it was important to plan accordingly.
