I recently stayed at a stunning Japanese ryokan nestled in a serene forest. The location was perfect, with temples and a lively market just a short distance away. The room was beautifully decorated with a traditional touch, and the private hot tub outside was a delightful addition. The staff provided top-notch service, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were a true culinary experience, with fresh ingredients and meticulously prepared dishes. The breathtaking forest view added to the overall charm of the ryokan.

A slightly noisy air conditioner in the room which affected the tranquil ambiance.

Beautiful setting surrounded by mountains, attentive staff, and delicious food. The landscape and scenery are spectacular, making for a truly memorable experience. Specific situation: We were delighted to find a ceramic outdoor bathtub in our room, where the staff had thoughtfully filled it for us before our arrival. It was a unique and relaxing experience to soak in the tub and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Drawbacks: The room was a bit small and there were some insects present, but this did not significantly detract from our overall enjoyment. I highly recommend this unique and charming ryokan for a special and memorable stay.

Loved our stay in this traditional Japanese inn. It's located in a stunning area next to a river surrounded by a beautiful forest. The private outdoor bath was amazing and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. They provided us with yukatas, and the dinner and breakfast were delicious. We also enjoyed the fact that we could choose from several options each night.

That some dishes were a bit too exotic for our taste. Plus, getting there was a bit of a challenge and required some extra transportation.

The room had exclusive amenities like a private rotenburo, cozy tatami-matted floors, and an outdoor garden. The service was top-notch and staff made sure my stay was comfortable through bringing my gear to the room and making green tea. The kaiseki dinner was one of the highlights and the Japanese-style breakfast did not disappoint. The location offers scenic hiking trails, breathtaking temples, and a river view from the room.

There was a bit of noise disturbance from the adjacent room; however, it was quiet during night hours.
