I had an impressive and unforgettable experience at this luxurious hotel. The location was superb, right next to a famous temple and within a beautiful 15-minute walking distance to other major temples. The historic buildings and landmarks surrounding this venue added to the charm and made it a prime spot for sightseeing. The outstanding service provided by the staff went above and beyond my expectations. The food served in our spacious tatami room was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. We enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast and a dinner, all served with great attention to detail. The private tub in our room was very convenient, providing enhanced comfort and relaxation. Additionally, the hotel staff's attention to detail and personalized service, such as bringing tea and water to our room upon our return from a day trip, made us feel truly valued and cared for. this hotel is definitely among the best I have ever stayed in, thanks to its exceptional location, quality of service, room condition, and delectable food.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The location of this ryokan was perfect, just outside of the garden and near major temples. We didn't have to travel far to visit all the famous temples in the area. The room was stunning, spacious, and calming, and the public bathrooms were well kept. The service was top-notch, with high-quality service and staff who made us feel special. The traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner were beautiful and delicious.

The language barrier was a bit of a challenge, as we wished at least one staff member spoke English well.

An incredible experience at Motonago! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even providing umbrellas when it was raining. The traditional Japanese rooms were clean and comfortable, and the onsen bath was a dream. The location was perfect, surrounded by lovely cafes and restaurants, and within walking distance of many landmarks. I highly recommend this hotel for a beautiful and relaxing stay.

When we arrived at the ryokan, the staff at Motonago was incredibly helpful and provided us with printouts of maps and information about nearby festival activities. They even upgraded our room to a larger Japanese-style suite, allowing us to choose between two beautiful rooms. the dinner and service were lovely, and we also enjoyed the public bath. the location was excellent, with many historic buildings and landmarks within walking distance. the hospitality, room quality, and food at Motonago exceeded our expectations, making it the best hotel we've ever stayed in.
