We had a wonderful family retreat at this mountain resort. The mixed onsen baths were a unique experience, and the swimsuits provided made it easy for everyone to enjoy together. The onsen in the cave was a highlight, as were the saunas. The Indian meals at the restaurant were delicious and affordable. Our children were warmly welcomed and had a special VIP treatment during the children's entertainment. The resort's location offers stunning views of a nearby waterfall, and the hourly bus service made it convenient to explore the surrounding area. The staff was consistently hospitable and friendly, making our stay truly memorable.

Nestled high in the mountains above a charming town, this traditional Japanese hotel offers a serene retreat. The spacious rooms are immaculate and come with yukata and tea, while the onsen is expansive and provides a tranquil experience. Guests can enjoy a delicious traditional breakfast and dinner, and the helpful and polite staff ensure a comfortable stay. The hotel also offers perks such as a karaoke train and gift shops, adding to the overall charm and enjoyment of the experience.

The location may not be convenient for those looking for activities outside the hotel during the day.

I had the most incredible dining experience at Okuhida Garden Hotel Yakedake. The onsen dinner was a feast for the senses, with beautifully presented dishes like mountain vegetables, fresh sesame paste, and famous Hida beef. The flavors were exquisite, and I couldn't get enough of the uguisu udon noodles made with fresh spring water. I would absolutely love to go back to this hotel again! I highly recommend this hotel for its amazing food and dining experience.

We had a wonderful stay at this place. The location in the mountains above Takayama was breathtaking, with a river and waterfall that we could even see from the spa. The surroundings were so peaceful and serene, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The service provided was exceptional, from the friendly and professional staff to the prompt assistance we received whenever we needed something. The room amenities were top-notch, with everything we could ask for including heating, air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, and a comfortable sitting area. The free Wi-Fi in our room was also a great bonus.

During my Christmas stay at this hotel, I was truly impressed by the excellent service provided by the staff. They were always polite, friendly, and ready to help. the hotel offers an amazing outdoor mixed spa where I enjoyed a hot mineral bath surrounded by beautiful snow-covered trees. the view of the river and waterfall from the spa was breathtaking. the hotel location is great, with easy access to ski facilities and a bus stop right outside the hotel. the food was delicious and there were several options to choose from.

It looked like it had not been cleaned in a while, and that detracted from an otherwise lovely experience. the staff's attitude was inconsistent, ranging from super helpful to completely ignoring us.

Our stay at this traditional ryokan was truly exceptional. The room was spacious and had beautiful tatami mats. The kaiseki dinner was delicious and the portions were generous. The onsen was large and very relaxing. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to help us, even giving us a ride when we needed it. a fantastic Japanese experience.
