The database itself was extremely user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and find the information I needed quickly. the search filters were very helpful in narrowing down my options. the room was spacious and had a cozy atmosphere despite feeling a little tired. the modern fit out and decor added a nice touch to the overall experience.

Access to some advanced features required an extra charge, even on half board.

The rooms were perfect for my family and our pets. LOVED the friendly staff! Would definitely stay here again. the public bath is even better in person. Can't wait to go back!

During my recent business trip to Yamanouchi, my director chose Okushiga Kogen Hotel for our stay, and I must say, it was an interesting experience. the hotel had its charm, with a unique 70s vibe that I quite enjoyed. the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more pleasant. the location right at the base of the ski slope was fantastic, offering convenient ski-in/ski-out access, and the availability of ski hire onsite made our ski days hassle-free. I particularly liked the cozy atmosphere at the bar during the early evening happy hour, and the breakfast and lunch options were quite satisfying. the rooms were spacious by Japanese standards and comfortable for a good night's rest. despite its dated facilities, the hotel exuded a certain nostalgic appeal, and I wouldn't mind staying there again.

One minor issue I encountered was the communication regarding dinner reservations.

This hotel truly exceeded our expectations in so many ways. the location was absolutely perfect for skiing enthusiasts like us. Situated at the very back of the Shiga Kogen ski area, we had a ski field right on our front door! It was incredibly convenient to have the central ski area just a short walk away, allowing us to hit the slopes as soon as we wanted. The hotel's attention to detail and service were also commendable. The staff were friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure our stay was comfortable. The basic amenities provided in our spacious room with four beds and a private bathroom were more than sufficient for our needs. And let's not forget the delicious breakfast spread that awaited us every morning - a perfect way to start our day on the slopes.

All was perfect, couldn't ask for more.

Great location for skiing and good breakfast options. the scenery was breathtaking and we enjoyed the convenience of being close to the ski lifts. the onsen was refreshing after a long day on the slopes.

Pillows were uncomfortable and staff were not very helpful with logistical challenges. the dry room was not effective in drying our gear and some of the staff seemed inexperienced and unsure about how to assist us.

I had a fabulous time at Okushiga Kogen. The ski-in/ski-out option was convenient and the mountain had a great variety of runs. The atmosphere around the fireplace in the lounge area was charming and a perfect way to unwind after a day on the slopes. The on-site onsen was also a highlight and provided a relaxing experience. Additionally, the hotel's location in the mountains offered a serene and uncrowded environment. I highly recommend this hotel for a short stay.
