This hotel is located right on the beach, and the sea views are amazing! The value for money is great, and the rooms are well-maintained. The breakfast with fresh fish is tasty, and the staff is friendly.

The location of Shimoda Prince Hotel is absolutely unbeatable. Being right on the beautiful beach of Shirahama-chuo, it felt like having a private members beach in October. The view from the top floor rooms was fantastic, especially waking up to it in the morning. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, and the delicious breakfast spread had plenty of choices. Parking at the hotel was convenient, and it was just a short taxi ride away from Shimoda town center. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was, especially considering my previous experiences with other Prince hotels in Japan. I would definitely stay here again.

Although I couldn't find much to complain about, it would have been helpful if the shop at the hotel didn't have a mid-day closing period as we would have liked to purchase more beverages. Additionally, the price for breakfast was a little higher than I would have preferred.

We had a lovely New Year's stay and enjoyed the fireworks display from our room with stunning ocean views. The complementary yukata and onsen experience were a great addition. The location is right on the beach and makes for a relaxing stay.

The hotel is definitely showing its age and needs an update. The carpets in the halls were stained and the wallpaper was peeling in places.
