Everything was spot on.

A traditional beautiful location with incredible hosts. Our room had glass sliding doors overlooking the garden. The shared bathroom was clean and I enjoyed the Japanese bath. The family-run ryokan provided delicious breakfasts and even provided kimonos and shoes. The location was great too. highly recommended!

The hotel is conveniently located near two subway stations, making it easy to access Kyoto Train Station and other popular sights. Guests can reach the closest subway station in less than 10 minutes and there is another station called Gojo nearby.

One minor downside is the possibility of noise disturbance from other guests. In one review, a guest mentioned being able to hear the stomping of the family staying above them until late at night.

We loved the private traditional wooden tub where we could relax and unwind. the breakfast was a highlight with a variety of delicious dishes to try. the staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.

Although we had a fantastic experience, there were a couple of small downsides. the garden was smaller than we had expected based on the pictures.
