Staff are helpful with sightseeing. They speak English. Free Wi-Fi and a vending machine. Great location for outdoor activities. Falling asleep to the river was sooo soothing. Recreation facilities were a blast!

Oh, what I didn't like? Not much, except maybe the lack of coffee/tea in the room.

The river view from our room was absolutely stunning, creating a romantic and peaceful atmosphere for our stay. The sound of the flowing water was incredibly soothing and added to the overall ambiance. the onsen was a great feature that we took advantage of. It was a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, perfect for a romantic escape. Lastly, the location was convenient as it was within walking distance to several historical sites and the famous Shin-kyo bridge.

It was uncomfortable and caused us to have a restless night's sleep. The mattress was too firm, making it difficult to get comfortable.

I had such a wonderful time staying at this lovely inn in Nikko. The location was perfect, situated on a quiet street with a view of lush greenery. The staff at reception were friendly and gave great recommendations for local attractions and nearby restaurants. The room itself was cozy and had a beautiful view of the surrounding nature. I loved hearing the peaceful sounds of the river and birds through the window. The shared toilets and onsen were clean and enjoyable. There was a drinks machine and fridge available, and we were even able to use the dining room for a takeaway meal. The convenience stores nearby came in handy too. I highly recommend this accommodation for a pleasant and convenient stay in Nikko.

The staff were amazing, always friendly and helpful, providing great local recommendations. The room was surprisingly spacious and beautifully furnished in a traditional Japanese style with Tatami mats. The cleanliness of the hotel, including the bedrooms and showers, was excellent. The location was ideal, right on the river and close to the station, making it easy to explore all the sights in this city. The breakfast provided was delicious, with a variety of options offered.

The value for money was great and the rooms were cozy with a classic Japanese inn feel. The location was perfect, close to the main attractions and the staff treated us like family.

We stayed at a hotel in Japan that we absolutely loved! the staff at Turtle Inn was incredibly polite, spoke English well, and made us feel at home. They were always willing to help and were very kind. the location of the hotel was excellent, with most attractions just a 10-minute walk away, including shrines, bridges, and Buddha statues. There were also convenience stores and restaurants just a 5-minute walk away. the rooms were spacious and we had a lovely view of the river. We even had our own private onsen, which was super cute and perfect for those who prefer privacy. the western breakfast served at the hotel was delicious, especially the fresh fruit and roasted bread. We regretted not staying longer in Nikko and will definitely choose Turtle Inn when we return.

Almost perfect.

We stayed at Turtle Inn for 3 days and 2 nights and had an awesome experience! The owners were very friendly and gave us a map with details of nearby attractions. The cozy room had everything we needed and more, like a yukata and power strip. The inn is situated in a quiet and pretty neighborhood, with the sound of the river flowing just behind it. It's also within walking distance of famous shrines and temples, as well as a Lawson and good restaurants. The onsen was a nice bonus too.

It was all superb.

The staff went out of their way to be helpful, providing a really friendly welcome. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed provided. The private hot spring baths were a real treat, and the western-style room was spacious. The hotel is conveniently located near bus stops and is within easy walking distance of attractions like Toshogu Shrine and Kanmangafuchi Abyss. The hotel owners are very hospitable and helpful, even assisting with a minor car accident. the stay at Turtle Inn was enjoyable and highly recommended.

The location was ideal - quiet yet just a short 10-minute walk from the bridge and temples. We found a few restaurants nearby that were open after 6pm. The breakfast offered at an additional cost was simple but beautifully presented, with a variety of options including coffee, fruit, toast, and eggs. The dining room had a high chair for our daughter too. The communal fridge on the first floor was convenient for storing snacks. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to use the private onsen with our little one. Our room had all the necessary amenities and we even utilized the free parking for our rental car. I would definitely recommend this place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
