During my recent stay, I was delighted by the attention to detail and warm hospitality from the staff. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, featuring a stunning view of the snow-covered landscape. I particularly enjoyed the relaxing indoor and outdoor onsens, and the superb kaiseki meals served in the private dining area.

Minor issues with bathroom size.

The bathroom in the room was quite small, which might feel cramped for some guests. Plus, while the inn itself offers a lovely vibe, it's worth noting that the actual location isn't in the prime area of Shibu Onsen, which limits access to certain local onsens.

It's important to note that the hotel is just outside the main Shibu Onsen area, so you don't get those exclusive keys for the local onsens. Additionally, communication about shuttle services could be smoother, as I found out about it after arriving at Nagano Station, leading to a bit of a mix-up.

For a cozy experience, be sure to request extra blankets in advance to keep warm at night, especially in colder months.

We expected to be met at the station but no one was there when we arrived, which was a bit confusing. Just make sure to communicate your arrival time in advance.

Really cozy and comfortable Japanese-style room. The beds were nice, and we slept well. They provided a yukata, which was fun to wear around the place. Loved that we had a private onsen—what an experience! The bathroom was a little tight, but it didn’t bother us much. Overall, everything felt clean and traditional, just how I hoped it would be.
