I had a great value for my money at this traditional ryokan. The room was cozy and the location was convenient for exploring attractions and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

The food for breakfast could have been better.

The location of this ryokan is a major plus. It is conveniently situated near a subway station, making it easy to explore the city center and other attractions. Not to mention, it is also close to some beautiful temples that offer a serene escape from the bustling city. The traditional rooms provide a charming atmosphere with tatami mats and low seats, allowing guests to experience a taste of Japanese culture.

Great complementary tea and sweets during the afternoon. the ryokan’s location is perfect to explore the city, really close to some of the main attractions.

The room was a bit old and needed renovations, some parts looked rundown. cleanliness was not excellent, there was some dust on the shelves.

the Ofuka Onsen indoor steam bath was a must-try, with complete bath needs that smelled extremely good. the remarkable outdoor dining, despite the cold, was well worth it, with the ladies in kimono providing exceptional service and gorgeous view outside. the food in the restaurant was excellent. Our room had exclusive amenities, and the full body massage was luxurious.

The only minor issue we encountered was the early closing of nearby restaurants and stores. Regardless, this hotel felt like a five-star venue.

We were thrilled with our stay at this Ryokan. The spacious and comfortable room provided a perfect place to rest and unwind. The highlight was definitely the private bath overlooking the beautiful garden, which was incredibly relaxing. The hosts were welcoming and spoke good English, making our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Nanzenji Ryokan Yachiyo for a truly gorgeous experience.
