we had a fantastic experience at Grand in an ideal location, just moments from the train station. the hotel exceeded our expectations with well-kept rooms, modern dining facilities, and a cozy ryokan atmosphere. the staff were exceptionally helpful, especially with luggage assistance. the meals were of high quality, and the onsen was a highlight, offering multiple baths for relaxation.

Conveniently located near Echigo-Yuzawa station and main street with various restaurants. Spacious rooms with traditional tatami and futon options. Excellent onsen facilities, including open-air baths for both genders. Generous breakfast spread with a mix of Western and Japanese dishes. Free coffee and amazake provided, creating a pleasant atmosphere.

the staff was really polite and accommodating; they were able to check us in despite not having a reservation. the room was spacious and comfortable, perfect for a family or group of four. the onsen experience was amazing, especially the outdoor baths with breathtaking views. the buffet breakfast was top-notch with a wide variety of delicious options. the hotel's location is superb, just a short walk from the train station. the service and facilities exceeded my expectations.

One small improvement could be updating some of the furniture in the rooms. Though the interiors were a bit dated, it didn't take away from the overall experience.

I had a great stay at this hotel. the location was perfect - right across the street up a set of steps from the Enchigo-Yuzawa train station. It made getting around so easy. Secondly, the staff were incredibly helpful and enthusiastic. Special thanks to Hiroto Hoshina who went above and beyond to assist us. And thirdly, the rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with separate toilet and bath facilities and a lovely view of the mountains.

All in all, everything was just fine.

I'm typically not one for fancy hotels, but this place was a pleasant surprise. the location was super convenient and easy to find. the room was cozy and clean, and I may have spent a bit too much time in the onsen enjoying the mountain views. Bonus points for the free boots - a lifesaver for this clumsy traveler. a solid choice for a low-key getaway.

The hotel is conveniently located directly across the train station, making it easy to access. It is only a short walk from the terminal station, allowing for a comfortable 70-minute travel on a bullet train. The rooms are spacious and warm, perfect for a good night's sleep. The bathrooms are clean and functional, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The buffet breakfast offers a delicious variety of both local Japanese cuisine and Western options.

Although the hotel provides a shuttle service, the uphill/downhill climb can be tiring for some guests.

Spending New Year's Eve was a truly unique experience. the hotel provided traditional Japanese New Year's food and even had a ceremony in the morning. the room was comfortable and equipped with a kotatsu, a table with a heater underneath, providing much-needed warmth during winter. the location is amazing, with beautiful mountain views and an easy walk to the nearby ski lifts.

The cleanliness of the hotel was not up to par. We noticed some dust in the room and in the hallway as well.
