The cuisine is excellent, offering duck and seafood options. The hotel is located near the presidential palace and has a small view over the city from its green garden. The French breakfast buffet includes local vanilla coffee pods. The hotel is a great stopover or starting point for a country tour.

I was pleasantly surprised by the charming and cozy atmosphere at La Varangue. The hotel is tucked away in a cobblestoned side street, offering a peaceful escape. The antique collections on the walls and the vintage automobiles in the front court added a touch of nostalgia. The staff, fluent in both French and English, were attentive and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The small view of the city from the green garden was an added bonus. Easter at this hotel was amazing! The antique collections are a treasure, and the classic cars in the yard add a cool vibe to the place. The friendly staff made us feel at home, and the food, especially the breakfast buffet, was really exceptional. The hotel's prime location and stunning views were a sight to behold and really gave us that tropical island feel we were looking for.

Bugs! Bring some mosquito spray, there were way too many mosquitos at this place. , some of the rooms were too small and outdated, not what we were expecting.
