I recently stayed at a very nice hotel in Tecate for a short trip. The rooms were a bit plain, but perfect for travelers looking for a simple place to rest and shower. What stood out to me was the friendliness of the staff, especially at the front desk. They were all wonderful and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I also loved the restaurant and the gentleman at the coffee bar in the morning. It was refreshing to find people who spoke English and were so helpful. There was even a young man, Christobal, who didn't speak English but still assisted my handicapped mother with her wheelchair. The location of the hotel was also great, just a 15-minute drive to downtown and the shopping area. Plus, it was ideal for motorcycle enthusiasts as you could keep your bike in the room if you had a downstairs unit.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.
