We had a fantastic stay at this charming hotel in a perfect location. The room was spacious and comfortable with a large balcony offering beautiful views of the bay and plaza. The hotel facilities were excellent, including a v nice breakfast, a residents lounge, and a terrace where we could sit and enjoy a drink. The staff at reception were extremely helpful and polite, making our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel is conveniently located in the old town, within walking distance to local restaurants on the main street, where we found a lively atmosphere and a wide range of eateries. We also discovered that this city hosts three days of celebrations in September, making it a highly recommended time to visit.

No lift to the second floor rooms, which may be inconvenient for some guests.

This hotel is a hidden gem, tucked away in an ancient walled city with cobbled streets. It's situated on a little plaza, at the top of a steep hill, offering breathtaking 180-degree views from the rooms with long balconies. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a rustic charm, and the bathrooms are equipped with excellent amenities. The highlight of our stay was waking up to the wonderful views over the estuary into France. Plus, the breakfast buffet was simply outstanding, with a wide array of fresh and thoughtfully selected items.

The location was excellent, with a view of the courtyard on one side and a glimpse of the harbor from the terrace. The hotel was conveniently located near the old town, making it easy to explore the charming back streets and indulge in delicious tapas and pintxos with the locals. The staff was wonderful and the hotel had great facilities, including a bus stop just steps away for convenient transportation.

Situated on a little plaza, in a historical palace, it truly feels like stepping back in time. Another highlight is the attention to detail in the rooms, with big windows providing panoramic views. I stayed on the third floor and was pleasantly surprised by the extra large comfortable bed and the excellent bath amenities. The breakfast spread was also impressive, offering a variety of options to choose from.

Incredible location and stunning views! the hotel is situated in the heart of the historic city, offering easy access to nearby attractions. the breathtaking views of the river and the neighboring country are simply to die for. Additionally, the breakfast options were delightful. Whether it was enjoying a peaceful morning on the balcony or indulging in the delicious buffet, the breakfast experience was definitely a highlight of my stay.

Sadly, there were a few negative aspects of my stay. the room was disappointing, as it was small and lacked sufficient lighting, giving it a rather gloomy atmosphere.

We had the most amazing room with two balcony doors overlooking the city and water. The bathroom was clean with great water pressure. The hotel had a lovely terrace, although it was unfortunately locked during our stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

Celebrating New Year in an old medieval building was a unique experience. the complementary cava and grapes were a nice touch to welcome the year. the hotel's location in the heart of the old town made it easy to explore the winding streets and sample local bars and restaurants. the views from the top rooms were breathtaking and added to the charm of the stay.

The lack of an elevator and staff assistance with luggage made the steep stairs a difficult climb to our room. the noise from nearby planes taking off and landing was also a bit of an annoyance throughout the stay.

We had a fantastic stay in a charming hotel located just outside the medieval walls. The rooms were spacious, fitted around the thick stone walls, and had great views over the town below. The staff was charming and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. We loved exploring the nearby church and taking in the breathtaking views from the terrace. The hotel was also conveniently located near public transport, making it easy to explore the Basque region.

The wifi connection could be improved.
