This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. the location couldn't be better - right on the beach and just a short walk away from the main walking street. The view from the terrace was breathtaking and being able to walk on the beach just to check in added to the whole experience. Secondly, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to make our stay special. They even decorated our room for our anniversary, not once but twice! Finally, the complimentary breakfast was simply phenomenal, offering a wide variety of choices to start the day off right.

All was fantastic, nothing could be improved.

The location of Playa Maya By Mij - Beachfront Hotel is absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the sound of the waves crashing and the sight of the Caribbean Sea from my balcony was a dream come true. The proximity to the beach and the stunning views from most rooms made my stay truly memorable. We even had a short walk through the sand to the front desk, but it was such a minor inconvenience compared to the beauty of the beach.

The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and effective air conditioning. the restaurant offered delicious food at reasonable prices. We enjoyed the variety of options, from tacos to seafood dishes. the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. the hotel's location, just one block from the bustling 5th avenue, was perfect for exploring the area and trying out different restaurants and shops. the beach, although occasionally rocky in some areas, provided a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the ocean.

One inconvenience was the need to walk through sand to access the hotel, which could be difficult with luggage or fancy footwear. Another issue we encountered was the temporary disappearance of our bags when we left them before checking out, however, this was quickly resolved by the hotel staff.

The staff was excellent and very attentive. Reception and housekeeping did a wonderful job. The beach area was a nice location with plenty of space for lounging and swimming. The location is amazing, walking distance from bus stop and ferry to Cozumel, and right in the heart of Avenue 5 festivities. The price is also a plus, perfect for those on a budget.

I stayed at Playa Maya for a week and loved it! The affordable price, great staff, and excellent location near 5th avenue made my trip even better. The breakfast was delicious, and a big shoutout to Pedro and the breakfast team for their hospitality. The staff was friendly and always resolved any issues quickly. The A/C worked well, and the beachfront location was amazing. I highly recommend Playa Maya for anyone looking for accommodation.

We had an amazing New Year's experience at this hotel. the beach location was absolutely stunning and we loved being able to take a short walk through the sand to the front desk. the views of the ocean from our room were breathtaking and we could even hear the waves crashing from our patio. the free breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the fresh fruit, bread, and beans every day. the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, holding our bags until our room was ready and providing excellent service.

We initially had a room that smelled damp and was noisy due to the neighboring hotel's generator. We were moved to a supposedly better room on the top floor, but there was no hot water and we had to use another room's shower.
