The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and effective air conditioning. the restaurant offered delicious food at reasonable prices. We enjoyed the variety of options, from tacos to seafood dishes. the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. the hotel's location, just one block from the bustling 5th avenue, was perfect for exploring the area and trying out different restaurants and shops. the beach, although occasionally rocky in some areas, provided a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the ocean.

One inconvenience was the need to walk through sand to access the hotel, which could be difficult with luggage or fancy footwear. Another issue we encountered was the temporary disappearance of our bags when we left them before checking out, however, this was quickly resolved by the hotel staff.

I stayed at Playa Maya for a week and loved it! The affordable price, great staff, and excellent location near 5th avenue made my trip even better. The breakfast was delicious, and a big shoutout to Pedro and the breakfast team for their hospitality. The staff was friendly and always resolved any issues quickly. The A/C worked well, and the beachfront location was amazing. I highly recommend Playa Maya for anyone looking for accommodation.

We had an amazing New Year's experience at this hotel. the beach location was absolutely stunning and we loved being able to take a short walk through the sand to the front desk. the views of the ocean from our room were breathtaking and we could even hear the waves crashing from our patio. the free breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the fresh fruit, bread, and beans every day. the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, holding our bags until our room was ready and providing excellent service.

We initially had a room that smelled damp and was noisy due to the neighboring hotel's generator. We were moved to a supposedly better room on the top floor, but there was no hot water and we had to use another room's shower.

My stay at Playa Maya By Mij - Beachfront was unforgettable. The location right on the beach was absolutely stunning. I loved waking up to the sound of the waves and being able to walk straight onto the beach. The view from the terrace was breathtaking, and it was the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail and soak up the atmosphere. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay special. They even surprised us with decorations in our room for our anniversary, which was such a thoughtful touch. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the fresh toast with strawberry jam. The size of the room was spacious and comfortable, and the pool provided a nice respite from the heat. As a budget-minded traveler, I stayed at Playa Maya, a reasonably priced beachfront hotel in Playa del Carmen. The room was spacious, quiet, and had a small ocean view from the balcony. The breakfast, included with the room, was basic but filling, and they even had a kitchen for more options. The staff was friendly, especially Pedro at breakfast. The location was perfect, right on the beach and close to beachfront restaurants and 5th Ave. I enjoyed having lounges and umbrellas available for guests, and the hotel also provided a refrigerator in the room. it was a great option for my trip.
