I had a fantastic stay at a hostel in the city center with a great atmosphere. The staff and guests were friendly and talkative, creating a fun and lively environment. The hostel had a beautiful backyard with a bar, hammocks, and a cozy fireplace. The beds were comfortable, and the showers were hot. The hostel also offered special nights like pizza night and free mojito night. I highly recommend this place!

Large breakfast, great location, good wifi, plenty of showers and toilets, hot water in the shower. Friendly and accommodating staff, welcoming and safe atmosphere. Delicious and affordable dinner options. Hosts fun and social activities. Great efforts to ensure clean food and water. One of the top hostels I've stayed at.

I recently stayed at Puerta Vieja in San Cristobal de las Casas for a few days. The hostel was well-equipped with a spacious room and common areas. They had taken hygienic measures right from the start, providing hand sanitizer and ensuring regular disinfection. The breakfast options were fantastic, with three different choices available. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the location was excellent. The hostel organized wonderful activities every evening, making it easy to meet new people. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you're traveling solo.

Amazing Christmas atmosphere with festive decorations and holiday parties. The staff was friendly and made sure everyone had a great time. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city with easy access to shops and restaurants. The free breakfast was delicious and had a variety of options to choose from.

The bathrooms were not very clean during my stay. With the high number of guests using the same facilities, it was understandable but still a bit disappointing.

The value for money at this hotel is excellent. With affordable prices, attention to detail, and a great location within walking distance of the main points of the city, it really couldn't be better. The staff provides great service and the basic amenities, including rooms with shared bathrooms, are well-maintained. The breakfast options, whether sweet or savory, are amazing and the coffee and fresh orange juice are the perfect accompaniment.

The only minor issue we encountered was that the rooms with shared bathrooms are not really well isolated, so light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. However, this didn't detract from our overall enjoyment of our stay at this hotel.
