Our stay at the Royal Hideaway Playacar felt like being invited to an exclusive dinner party where everyone is on a first-name basis with the chefs! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, especially from our favorite concierge, Jose, who catered to our every whim like a personal genie. The food was delightful—Azia had us swooning over the Tom Yum Soup and Red Chicken curry that could make a Michelin star blush with envy! The room was simply divine, complete with plush beds that cradled us like a fluffy cloud after a long day. Who knew vacationing could be this luxurious? We felt like royalty!

My experience at Royal Hideaway Playacar was quite disappointing. Despite the serene atmosphere, I encountered several challenges. The reservation system for the dining options was a nightmare. I was unable to secure a table for dinner and was often forced to rely on room service. The pools had limited loungers available, which meant getting up at an ungodly hour just to secure a place to relax, only to find others had reserved loungers that went unused all day. To make things worse, I faced issues with my room, including a leak from the ceiling and inadequate room amenities like a malfunctioning fridge and missing hairdryer. For a resort of this caliber, these shortcomings were disheartening.

this resort was super cute and the beach was really nice. the staff was friendly and worked hard to keep us comfy. our villa was always clean, and the pool area looked great. the food was yummy, especially the hibachi at azia, and the vibe was chill, perfect for just relaxing. loved that there were no loud parties or noise at the pool, just good times!

but we had a rough time with dinner reservations and missed out on some restaurants. also, the entertainment at night was kinda lacking with not much to do.

The beachfront location offered stunning ocean views, and the attentive staff consistently provided excellent service. The breakfast buffet stood out with a delightful spread of fresh fruit, which paired perfectly with mimosas. However, the reservation system for dining created some confusion, requiring us to make multiple attempts to secure our dinner plans. Additionally, the pools were often busy, and finding loungers without reserve signs could be a challenge at peak times. Despite this, the friendly atmosphere and lush grounds made for a relaxing getaway.
