We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Van Der Valk. Our purpose was to explore Utrecht, and the location was perfect for us. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and there was ample parking available. The personnel at dinner were excellent and the food, although not extravagant, was satisfying. The breakfast, however, was absolutely amazing! The omelette made by the chef was delightful, and they had a wide variety of bread, cheese, ham. And let's not forget the delicious coffee!

We were even greeted with a welcome drink upon arrival. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view and thoughtful amenities such as an ironing facilities and a Nespresso machine. The bathroom was luxurious, and we enjoyed the various entertainment options offered by the flat-screen TV.

The rooms were quite spacious and clean, with good amenities such as the TV and mini-fridge. the location was spot on – it was very close to many restaurants and shops. the staff was courteous and helped us with our queries promptly.

Our experience was marred by the noise from the other rooms and the street outside. the walls were quite thin, and we could hear people talking and walking by at all hours of the night.

While the hotel had only two small lifts, we were able to use the stairs, although they may not be suitable for those with mobility problems. The meals in the restaurant were satisfactory, especially the set menu options, although the salads could have been better.

The hotel bar closes reasonably early with no night service.
