The reception service was poor, with unhelpful and inexperienced staff.

We had a night stay in the cupido suite with the whirlpool and it was worth your money! The room was amazing, very clean and with a nice modern touch. The only weird thing is that the old information booklets say there’s a minibar, but when asking at reception they said it changed and you could buy a ‘minibar package’. It was already 00:00 and me and my friend wanted just a soda and not a whole package, luckily for us a staff member from the bar walked past and had no problem with getting us some drinks to take to the room, which was very appreciated. We didn’t use the restaurant facilities as there were very limited options for vegeterians, but there are a lot of restaurants in the neighbourhood. The little spa and swimmingpool were nice to spend a few hours in, the only weird thing was that there were swimminglessons and we couldn’t use the pool during those times. At checkout the stadf was very friendly and helpful, we could even let our car stay in the carpark a bit longer. I would highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

My recent stay at Van Der Valk in Almelo was fantastic. I stayed for a few days and found the hotel to be even better than the photos. The staff were excellent and the location was perfect, close to the town center with plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with a spacious bathroom and a lovely balcony. The breakfast was impressive with a wide selection and everything was well presented. The hotel's cleanliness was exceptional, making for a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Great park opposite for leisurely strolls.

The interior design of the hotel is visually stunning with a lot of thought put into the common areas. the breakfast selection was extensive and the live egg station was a highlight. the hotel's central location made it easy for us to explore the city.

The lack of felt feet under chairs in our room and doors without proper springs caused some disruptive noises. This impacted our sleep quality.

my recent overnight stopping in almelo exceeded my expectations. the comfortable beds and great breakfast buffet at the hotel were amazing. the convenient location close to the city centre made exploring easy. van der valk did not disappoint!
