The Apollo Motel in Christchurch offers plenty of space and high privacy for families, making it ideal for longer stays with cooking facilities. the attentive staff promptly fixed a broken showerhead, ensuring a clean room. While the price was reasonable, I would have appreciated a larger, more comfortable room with air conditioning. the welcoming host's gesture of leaving the keys and warming up the unit for our late-night arrival was a thoughtful touch. the worn couch and chair detracted from the otherwise cozy atmosphere, and the moldy shower and dirty windows were disappointing. Despite these drawbacks, the sun terrace and garden area provided relaxation, and nearby landmarks like Bryce Art Gallery and Mona Vale contributed to enjoyable family bonding experiences.

The staff was excellent, really welcoming and helpful. We got upgraded to a 2-bedroom unit, which was a nice surprise and perfect for us. Loved the ground coffee and plunger in the room - a little touch that made our mornings better. the location was awesome, close to the University where we needed to go, and central to malls, restaurants, and supermarkets. the beds were comfy, the shower was good, and the price was just right. Value for money - would definitely recommend to others.

Just a couple of things that could be improved. the cleanliness of the room could have been better, especially the tops of the cupboards.

The room was a good size and had a functional heater. The kitchen was well-equipped and clean. The continental breakfast was enjoyable. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly and available. The location was convenient. The room layout provided added space and privacy.

The database at the Apollo on Riccarton Road was impressive, providing easy access to a wide range of information. the room itself was spacious, with a luxurious spa bath and convenient location near the University and Westfield mall. the daily cleaning service even took care of our laundry, ensuring a comfortable stay.

One minor issue I encountered was the vanity doors in the room being swollen from moisture, and corners of the walls were knocked off. the spa bath jets appeared very worn, which detracted slightly from the overall experience.

Such a great find! The location was perfect for exploring the city, with easy access to bus lines and even a direct route to the airport. we had an upstairs one bedroom unit at Apollo Motel for 2 nights. it was handy to Westfield, Bush Inn, the University, and airport. the owners were friendly and our room was clean and comfortable. Checking in early was no problem, and we appreciated being able to leave our bags at reception till check-in. Room 10 was lovely, with comfortable beds and a small outside area with table and chairs. the staff even left a light on and turned the heater on for us when we arrived late at night.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like 🙂

Had a great Easter stay here. the room was well equipped with everything we needed and the staff was friendly and helpful. We especially liked the separate room for the kids which gave us some extra peace and quiet. the location was so convenient with shops and supermarkets within easy walking distance. We also enjoyed the lovely view from our window.

The cleaning left a lot to be desired. the chairs were pretty dirty and we had to put towels down to sit on them.

Well located, great shower, comfortable bed, quick check-in, facilities for cooking a light meal.
