Our stay was delightful, as we were within walking distance to the Blue Penguin Colony and the charming Victorian precinct. The room was clean and comfortable, enhancing our experience of the historic atmosphere. We also appreciated the excellent dining options in the hotel, which made our evenings enjoyable.

The bathroom could use a heater for added comfort.

I found the bathroom quite tiny and lacking in space, which made it a bit uncomfortable during my stay. Additionally, I struggled to locate my room as the signage was somewhat unclear, and the stairs were steep in certain areas that may pose a challenge for those with mobility issues. Overall, while I appreciated the hotel’s character, these aspects detracted from what could have been a perfect stay.

The location is perfect for exploring Oamaru's beautiful architecture. I enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant with the friendly staff, and the ambiance was inviting.

Unfortunately, the room was a bit noisy at times, with loud doors and some interior noise. I also had a minor issue with the heating in the bathroom.

I loved having a drink in the lounge and found the dining room service to be satisfying. I had a minor issue with the cold water tap, which was surprising. Nonetheless, the location made it easy to explore, and I enjoyed my evenings at the restaurant. For an art lover like me, the ambiance was nice.

We had a small hiccup with an old push-button doorknob that didn't lock properly when we arrived. Just something to keep in mind. Overall, still a good stay!
