I had the best stay at this hotel! The staff, especially Jonathan, made me feel so welcome. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, and the bed was the best I've ever slept in. The location is perfect, close to many hiking trails, and the views of the mountains are breathtaking. I loved relaxing by the roaring log fire after a long day of skiing. The breakfast at the Pihanga Cafe was delicious, and the hotel even offered transportation to the Tongariro Crossing for a full day hike. I can't wait to go back in the summer to explore more of the great tramps nearby.

I had a wonderful stay at Chateau Tongariro! The service in the Lounge was great, and the bed in my room was just right – not too hard and not too soft. The shower and bath were perfect. I also loved that I could book transportation to and from the Tongariro Alpine Crossing hike at the desk, as well as buy water for the hike. The deep water plunge pool and sauna were a treat for my aching muscles. The view from the lounge table was stunning, and dinner was absolutely mouth-watering. I had a fantastic time at Chateau Tongariro and would definitely stay again!
