Escape to Picton Hotel is located in the heart of the action, with the bathroom right in the center of everything. Guests can easily walk to local restaurants down towards the beach or enjoy a lively evening at the nearby Irish pub. The room decor in the formal suite is perfect for a romantic break, and the friendly staff provide lovely little touches such as fresh flowers and treats in the room.

The lengthy process for breakfast can be a bit inconvenient, as the same waitress handles everything from taking orders to cooking and serving.

Stylish and comfortable accommodation in a charming old building, with amazing features such as spa bath and walk-in shower. The location is excellent – central and close to hire car offices and ferry. We liked the friendly service and complimentary drinks and pastries, as well as the option to pre-book breakfast.

Lack of elevator and narrow stairs could be a challenge for those with mobility issues. The Irish pub next door can get noisy at night, and there were some erratic moments of service during dinner.

A luxurious and spacious suite with exclusive amenities fulfilled our needs. The private facilities were maintained to a very high standard, and the leisure room provided a great night's entertainment. The location provided great access to some of the region's best attractions.

The only minor issue was that the outdoor dining area was quite small and lacked adequate seating, making it difficult to fully enjoy meals there. However, this was more than made up for by the other fantastic features the hotel offered.
