As young people, we loved the comfortable room with 2 double beds and the convenience of the microwave and mini fridge. The small kitchenette and Nespresso coffee machine were a bonus for our travels with a baby. The location had plenty of food options and a beautiful nearby lake. The staff were accommodating and the small spa was a nice touch. The quality of the hand soap and lotion exceeded our expectations. The overall aesthetic of the room, including the paintings and furniture, was impressive. The hotel also provided bike storage, which was essential for our biking adventures on the Waikato Bike Trails. The dinner and breakfast options were lovely, and the hot spa was a perfect way to relax after a day of riding. The bathroom amenities, especially the Antipodes range, were a pleasant surprise.

We felt more than at home during our stay, with no complaints whatsoever.

The hotel doors were occasionally left unlocked, which could pose a security risk to guests, especially at night.

We had a fantastic stay here. The hotel is situated in a great location, near to many amenities and a short walk from the town center. We loved the peacefulness and cleanliness of the hotel and our room felt extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the in-room breakfast was exceptional. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to all.

The rooms at Hidden Lake Hotel & Apartments were nice and clean, and the beds were incredibly comfy. I especially appreciated the effort put into keeping the rooms spotless. The location was also very convenient for walking to restaurants and cafes in the area. The staff were friendly and always willing to help with any requests. I was impressed with their level of accommodation.

Nothing I didn't like to be fair

The hotel had a great location, with lots of nearby amenities and a beautiful lake just a short walk away. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and we were impressed with the complementary washing powder and fabric softener provided in the guest laundry. We also appreciated the access to the local gym, which was available 24/7.

The meal took a long time to arrive and when it did, several items were missing or incorrectly prepared. The waiter seemed to be running back and forth frequently and we felt sorry for him.
