We had a great value for our money at Wonderland. The A frame private room was cosy and clean, and the setting in the mountains was simply stunning. The staff gave us a warm welcome and were quick to address any issues we had.

The hotel breakfast menu could use some improvement, specifically in terms of variety and options.

Wonderland Makarora Lodge is a hidden gem nestled right on the edge of the rainforest. The location is perfect for nature lovers, with beautiful walking tracks nearby. The cabins are comfortable, offering picturesque mountain views in the morning. The friendly staff and great cooking facilities make for a pleasant stay.

I recently had a fantastic stay at a hotel in a remote but absolutely stunning valley in New Zealand. The location was second to none, providing breathtaking views and a truly peaceful atmosphere.
