My recent stay at this hotel was beyond delightful! the staff here, especially Debbie, were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, almost like staying at a nice BnB rather than a typical backpackers'. the kitchen was well-equipped, and there were plenty of bathrooms and toilets, so no waiting needed. the beds were comfy, and the rooms were not overcrowded, which was a real plus. I also appreciated the attention to detail in the decor and the cleanliness of the shared areas.

The only minor downside I encountered during my stay was the lack of additional lighting in the rooms. It would have been useful to have some smaller lights or a second switch for added convenience, especially in the dorms where multiple people are moving around.

The vibe was epic, clean rooms, comfiest beds ever, and towels in the dorm. Great for young peeps like us wanting to explore Invercargill. Totally recommend staying there for a cool time.

Motion sensor lights in the common areas would make late-night hangouts even more lit!

Cozy, clean, comfy accommodations. Spotless rooms with fluffy towels. Excellent bathroom facilities and awesome decor. Host leaves lovely home baked treats. Warm and welcoming Southern hospitality.

The room's verandah is perfect for relaxing with a cup of tea, and the shared bathroom is clean and well-equipped. the cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home.

Just a personal preference, but I wish the room had more natural light.

The hostel was top-notch - cozy, inviting, and super clean. Merlyn is a gem, always baking tasty treats for everyone. the communal areas were perfect for chilling out with a BBQ area and lush garden, and our room had all the comfy vibes. 🌿 Just a heads up, the room's temperature was a bit warm for me, but it didn't ruin the overall awesome stay one bit!

I had a wonderful stay at Southern Comfort in Invercargill. the cleanliness and warmth of the place were outstanding. the only small improvement could be adding motion sensor lights in the main hall for late-night walks. a fantastic 5-star experience worth returning for! .

southern comfort was the perfect peaceful break. felt homey, well-equipped kitchen, meaningful conversations with travellers from all over the world. exceeded expectations from my previous stay in invercargill.

My stay at Southern Comfort was fantastic! I spent a few days exploring Invercargill and this hotel was the perfect base. The rooms were spotless and warmly decorated, making me feel right at home. The bathroom facilities were excellent, and I loved browsing through the books available. The fluffy towels were a nice touch, and the outside spaces were a true haven. The Southern hospitality I experienced here was truly exceptional. I can't wait to return!
