Small, cozy hostel with a good location and nice people! the beds were the comfiest ever, I slept like a baby! the wooden bunks are super nice, got the top bunk and still had the best sleep. the owner is really nice. If I ever come back to Dunedin, will stay here again.

I always return for my city trip. At first stay, staff suggested good exchange places. This place has Free Wi-Fi, shared kitchen, air conditioning, and laundry. They also offer a TV room for leisure, golf course, board games, and 24-hour security. It's smoke-free.

We hit up Hotel Triplets and Family - wild times! the staff were lit, always down to chill and help out. the location was clutch for our epic adventures!

Could use a sick rooftop bar to keep the party vibes going strong all night!

Wow, I had such a great time at the hostel in Uptown! the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home. I LOVED the rooftop terrace with stunning views. I would definitely stay here again. the photos don't do it justice!

I had an incredible experience at this hotel! the staff were always so cheerful and helpful, making me feel right at home. the female dorm had a keypad lock which provided me with extra security. the rooms were cozy and comfortable, and the housekeeping was always on point. the kitchen/dining area was spacious, and the location was superb - right in the heart of the city. the leisure area was a great spot to unwind after a day of exploring the nearby attractions like the Toitu Otago Settlers Museum and the Dunedin Public Art Gallery.

The only downside I can think of is that the bathrooms are mixed, which might not suit everyone. some guests may find the noise from the doors and shared bathroom fan bothersome, especially if staying in room 8.

the bed in the private room with double bed and 2 singles was incredibly comfortable, and I haven't slept that well in ages. the bed linen was soft and the room was clean, apart from a few cobwebs. I also appreciated the free parking right outside between 6pm-8am. the shared bathrooms were cleaned daily, and the check-in and check-out process was super easy. Uptown Backpackers provided good value for money and the staff were friendly.

I had a fantastic week at Uptown Backpackers in Dunedin! the staff, especially Mr Ben, felt like family. the place was clean, and the location was perfect. While there were a few minor inconveniences, like limited plugs and a bit of noise, the friendly atmosphere and Christmas feast made it unforgettable!

Sturdy bunks with good mattresses, private top bunk, convenient plugs next to beds, friendly staff, clean kitchen.

Felt at home here, nothing too much trouble.

Great location, close to grocery store and bus station. Basic hostel with everything you need. Clean and cozy living room. Friendly and helpful staff. Good kitchen and hot showers. 👍
