Stately and elegant hotel in a charming town. The rooms were exquisite and exceeded our expectations. Plus, the 1-star Michelin quality cuisine at the restaurant was a delight. The location by the river, with views of the historic churches, added a wonderful atmosphere to our stay.

While the staff was friendly and helpful, we did experience some issues with the service. There were a few instances where our requests were not addressed promptly.

The narrow entry way to the hotel property, combined with the busy roadway, can be a bit inconvenient and challenging for drivers.

We spent our New Year's at a beautiful property with great views of the town square. The rooms were spacious and had antique-like furnishings, creating a very cozy atmosphere. The hotel is located in a charming town with a rich history and some stunning landmarks, adding to the overall experience. we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and happy hour that the hotel offered during our stay, making us feel like valued guests.

The service at dinner left something to be desired. Despite there being only a few tables, we were overcharged on our bill and had to check it before signing.

The staff, especially Anabella from the restaurant, were incredibly helpful and provided top-notch service. The comfortable bed in the slightly dark room ensured a good night's sleep. The pool was a perfect spot to relax and escape the summer heat. And of course, dinner at the hotel was an absolute must, offering a memorable experience and delicious food.

I recently stayed at this five-star hotel and I must say my experience was luxurious. The exclusive amenities provided in the room were outstanding and met all my needs. The breathtaking views of the town and river from the spacious rooftop terrace added to the luxurious experience. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, making me feel welcome and comfortable during my stay. The restaurant was a treat, with the Michelin menu offering delicious food. The beautiful antique furniture in the hotel added to the charm of the venue.

The parking was a minor issue upon arrival, but the driving skills required to park in the front entrance were a bit challenging. However, the location of this hotel in the center of the town was advantageous as it was easy to reach most places of interest on foot.

We had a fantastic stay in a beautiful hotel set in a storybook location. The hotel itself is a magnificent historical building with beautiful fixtures and fittings. It was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were extremely helpful and provided excellent service. The breakfast buffet was amazing and exceeded our expectations. The hotel is conveniently located close to some great eating areas and is situated between the Douro Valley and Oporto, making it easy to explore both areas.
