Stately and elegant hotel in a charming town. the rooms were exquisite and exceeded our expectations. Plus, the 1-star Michelin quality cuisine at the restaurant was a delight.

While the staff was friendly and helpful, we did experience some issues with the service. There were a few instances where our requests were not addressed promptly.

I had the most incredible stay at this beautiful hotel. My room had a spacious rooftop terrace with stunning views of the town and river. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The dining experience at the Michelin restaurant was out of this world. I highly recommend this Relais & Chateaux gem.

The Michelin-star restaurant offers a cozy and pleasant atmosphere, serving excellent cuisine. The rooms are spacious and offer nice views of the river and historic part of town. The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring a comfortable stay.

The narrow entry way to the hotel property, combined with the busy roadway, can be a bit inconvenient and challenging for drivers.

We spent our New Year's at a beautiful property with great views of the town square. the rooms were spacious and had antique-like furnishings, creating a very cozy atmosphere. the hotel is located in a charming town with a rich history and some stunning landmarks, adding to the overall experience.

The service at dinner left something to be desired. Despite there being only a few tables, we were overcharged on our bill and had to check it before signing.

Relais & Chateaux was a dream-like hotel with a picturesque setting in the heart of Amarante. the upgraded room we received was stunning, and the Michelin Star restaurant, although not available to us, was a testament to the hotel's commitment to excellent cuisine. the staff, especially Anabella from the restaurant, were incredibly helpful and provided top-notch service. the comfortable bed in the slightly dark room ensured a good night's sleep. the pool was a perfect spot to relax and escape the summer heat. And of course, dinner at the hotel was an absolute must, offering a memorable experience and delicious food.

the exclusive amenities provided in the room were outstanding and met all my needs. the breathtaking views of the town and river from the spacious rooftop terrace added to the luxurious experience. the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, making me feel welcome and comfortable during my stay. the restaurant was a treat, with the Michelin menu offering delicious food. the beautiful antique furniture in the hotel added to the charm of the venue.

The parking was a minor issue upon arrival, but the driving skills required to park in the front entrance were a bit challenging. the location of this hotel in the center of the town was advantageous as it was easy to reach most places of interest on foot.

It was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were extremely helpful and provided excellent service. The breakfast buffet was amazing and exceeded our expectations. The hotel is conveniently located close to some great eating areas and is situated between the Douro Valley and Oporto, making it easy to explore both areas.
